Montana Hunting License And Drawings
Anyone born after Dec. 31, 1986 must successfully complete a DNR-offered hunter education class to purchase a hunting license. The Hunter Education Number (HED#) must be entered into the license system in order to purchase a hunting license that is not an apprentice version if the person was born after Dec. 31, 1986.
1 Youth consolidated hunt/trap licenses are for residents 17 or younger. All youth hunting licenses are valid for the designated license year, even if the individual turns 18 during that year, but the license must be purchased before the youth turns 18.
2 Indiana residents who are at least 64 years old AND were born after March 31, 1943 need to purchase a senior fishing license to fish in Indiana. Both the Annual Senior Fishing and the Senior Fish-for-Life include the trout/salmon stamp.
3 Indiana residents who were born before April 1, 1943 are exempt from needing a fishing license when fishing in Indiana waters, but are able to purchase a Voluntary Senior Fishing License, which supports fisheries conservation and public access in Indiana.
4 The deer license bundle is one license that includes privileges to harvest two antlerless deer and one antlered deer or three antlerless deer. The deer license bundle cannot be used to satisfy deer reduction zone bag limits. The deer license bundle can be used in the special youth, archery, firearms, muzzleloader and special antlerless seasons.
5 A person must first purchase a Bonus Antlerless Deer License at the rate of $24 (residents) or $150 (non-residents) before purchasing the Second and any Additional Bonus Antlerless Deer Licenses at the reduced rate. No other deer license type counts towards the reduced price for the Second and any Additional Bonus Antlerless Licenses.

For Iowa residents that own farmland in Indiana and hunt on their farmland, you do not need a license for small game and furbearers, but are required to have a license to hunt deer and turkey. Ohio residents that own farmland in Indiana and hunt on their farmland are exempt from needing hunting licenses for any species. Virginia residents that own farmland in Indiana and hunt on their farmland are exempt from needing a license to hunt any species. Review other license exemptions.
