Cyberlink Power2go User Manual
CyberLink should change the name to make it much more obvious that PowerDVD is included. I would never have purchased PowerDVD 12 Ultra if I had known about Media Suite 10 Ultra. They should at least call it CyberLink Suite 12 Ultra so it doesn't sound like it is an old out-of-date version. CyberLink Media Suite 10 is a suite of media-related Windows tools which fall into four main categories: video, audio, photo, and disc utilities. The $114.95 Ultra edition is packed with features.

Cyberlink Media Suite v10 Ultra has many tools for your data, photo, audio, and video tasks. I've found the program pretty easy to use in most cases. I've uploaded some of the menu screens for you to view. The box includes the software and a 90 page instruction manual. Also included is the PowerDVD program for playing Blu-Rays and DVDs. 3D DVD's are supported (if your computer has the hardware for 3D.) This program includes a media library feature for your Blu-ray, DVD, videos, and music. There are also playlists and a music store. While I was writing this review I tried to view the videos in a folder on my hard drive to select one to play and before I could make a selection I received the error 'PowerDVD12 has stopped working.' A complaint that I have about this program is that one time I selected PowerDVD after inserting a DVD and it made itself my default program for DVD's and CD's even though I did not have the box checked to make it the default program.
I used the program to convert DVD's (that were not copy protected) and videos to different formats (Flash videos are not supported) for tablets and cell phones. I clicked the Video tab and then selected Convert Video. An instructional video popped up to show how to use the MediaEspresso Media Converter. Note that not all of the programs in the Cyberlink Suite have an instructional video when you open it. There are prescribed formats for converting your videos to cell phones, media players, and game consoles. There are prescribed formats for the following cell phones: Acer, Apple, Blackberry, Dell, REGZA Phone, Google, HTC, LG, Motorola, Nokia, Palm, Samsung, and Sony Ericsson. Media Player: Acer, Apple, Arrows, HTC, Lenovo, Microsoft, Medion, Samsung, Sony, and TG. Game players: XBox and Sony PS3/PSP. After a selecting a manufacturer you can choose your model (if listed) and set more options. If you want to change the profile or if your model is not listed, you can just click the Convert button and specify your own options for format, resolution, aspect ratio, bitrate, frame rate, etc.
One of the Music tab options is to record audio. It appears that it will only record from a microphone. Roxio Creator Pro 2012 [Old Version] has an option to record streaming audio from my sound card but I did not find that option in Cyberlink.
I encountered another small glitch after I burned a data disc. I then inserted a new disc and I cleared the list of files that I had burned but it did not reset to zero the number of bytes to be burned. In other words, after I burned 4 GB of data to a DVD and then inserted a new DVD, when I cleared the list of files burned, the program still indicated that I was going to use 4 GB on the new disc I inserted, even though the list of files to burn was cleared out.
So generally there are many tools but you may encounter some bugs or features or lack of features that is not to your liking.
